Wild Kingdom

I've always been a fan of animals but since we went to the Bronx Zoo in December, I've been into wild safari animals, (I could also be getting inspiration from my boyfriend who loves lions and is "really into monkeys recently"). I really do wish that when I did my basement remodel I decorated the bathroom with a zoo animal theme. Next time. I have though, been letting wildlife inspire some of my recent fashion choices.

Elephants...

Recently bought this necklace from JCREW... I've wanted it for a while and finally broke down and got it!

This Essie nail polish, "smokin hot" has been on my nails for weeks and it's elephant inspired...

Zebras....
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I wear a ton of stripes...most of the time I think my stripes are inspired my nautical settings and classic tomboy cool...but they could very easily be influenced by these horses of the the wild.

Giraffes...
These animals don't really inspire any prints, (I typically stay away from wearing prints) but this is cute decor for the home...I don't know why I like them so much...

I have kind of a long neck...yet I never wear my hair up. With the warm weather coming, I should really think about messy up-dos (damn, rock that up-do!) with earrings, inspired by the elegant giraffe

Lions...

These pictures are mainly just an excuse to post content that may grab my boyfriend's attention (gotta keep him reading some how) but I could stretch the inspiration to maybe finally embrace my wavy, hard-to-tame hair...maybe?

PS, really just posted this picture because I mean...I would never but...yeah...

Also, my usual obsession with button up shirts and dresses are safari inspired. I just love how easy it is to pull on a button-up, fitted in all the right places, with jeans, (dark, light, skinny, flared) dress it up, or dress it down with sneakers, boots, heels, and the right jewelry.
