My mom got me BossyPants for my birthday and I've laughed out loud numerous times. But I do have to say, that as an author, Fey feels a little..."on" all the time. I think that because of this, she loses a lot of vulnerability that makes authors believable and likeable. Regardless, she is funny.
The best Lemon quote from last weeks episode: "Where does Liz Lemon go for a Saturday night on the town? The bathroom at Barnes & Noble!" I know why people say there are similarities between her and I.
I keeping with the NBC TV theme...last week's Parks & Recreation was honestly one of the funniest episodes of a television show that I've enjoyed in a long time. Too many great quotes to highlight.

Delicious Coconut Scrub. For Christmas, my Step-Aunt Brenna made all the ladies in the family some homemade coconut scrub.
To me, it is the perfect gift. Thoughtful, homemade, and honestly, amazing. It leaves me skin feeling so soft and with a hint of coconut scent. I can't get enough of it and she was kind enough to share the recipe...all you need is:
Extra virgin organic coconut oil
Organic turbonado sugar(kinda coarse), or evaporated cane juice(finer grains)
And vanilla bean
Organic turbonado sugar(kinda coarse), or evaporated cane juice(finer grains)
And vanilla bean
The coconut oil will get soft at about 75 degrees - you just want to be sure its not boiling hot (like from the microwave) or it will melt the sugar granules. The vanilla bean can be cut down the center to scrape the tiny seeds - she even minced the pods into small bits and threw them into the mix. Stir all together and either put back into the original coconut oil jar if its for you or smaller clean dry jars if for sharing!
Seeing my friends this weekend made me miss them even more and also made me realize that we could easily be these ladies...
Though my stomach still feels a bit queasy from Saturday night...
