Ithaca is gorges

It's hard to get back to reality after some time away from home, having so much fun and enjoying some relaxation. Spending this past weekend in Ithaca was a real treat, though not exactly what we expected. I anticipated Ithaca to be a quaint little town but in reality it is a hodgepodge of a city that reflects both the old and new. There was snow on the ground, Cayuga lake is serene (though hard to really appreciate it with whipping winds), the wine is delicious, and the Ithaca Bakery provided us with unrivaled treats. And we did make it home with some bargain books (shocking). Also, there is something to be said about car rides with great music, stimulating conversation, and comfortable silences. All in all, I'd say our winter adventure was a success.
