Oh Sunday

So as I sit here on this Sunday morning I wish the weekend didn't have to end. The holiday season is officially here and hard as I might, my ardent effort to keep the stress at bay is slowly slipping. I actually stepped foot in a mall (eek!) yesterday and it was crazazy. This weekend was relaxing, I stayed in each night, and yet I'm still tired today. Instead of being productive at this very moment, I will just reflect on some of the fun I had this weekend. Also, I am choosing to ignore the comment my mother just made, on the phone with my grandmother, "Yes Mom, I tell my daughter all the time, when I was her age I was married with a kid." ::Evil Glare:: Just because I'm currently sitting on my mother's couch, blogging, doesn't mean I don't have my life together - I still know what responsibility is! Anyways...

On Friday my friend Julie (Hi Julie!) and I decided to stay in and do nothing. This lead us to discuss some books, life, and some other happenings we stumbled upon on the web.

Attention boys...you need not apply to be in our lives unless you are a man and more importantly, adhere to most (if not all) of these rules.

I then spent some time with the fam, decorating our Christmas tree. Why is it that either myself or my brother always has to be in a sour mood when this occurs? This year, it was him. I was happy go lucky.

I also spent some time on the couch by the fire, after spending the day running errands.
No, sadly this is not my house, but it's okay that I wish it was

  1. Isn't it sad that we are now in our mid-twenties and alas, we are exhausted after a weekend of practically nothing?
*sigh* I wish that fireplace was my house too. I wish it was snowing, or blowing, or speckling even just a little bit, or that a chill was in the air just enough for me to snuggle on the couch with my book and not feel guilty that the sun was bursting behind my closed blinds taunting me to come outside and soak up its ever-fabulous vitamin D and UV rays <3
I emailed you. On your Marist account. I have ideas for a january adventure. Mostly, I wish you would just buy a plane ticket to here and come spend a week with me. We have at LEAST a week's worth of catching up to do....
    Happy Monday!
